Terms of Sale & Refund Policy
Effective date: May 16, 2026
These Terms of Sale apply to purchases of SummarizeMe products ("Products") where checkout identifies SummarizeMe as the supplier. Payment collection, tax, invoicing where applicable, and refund administration are handled by our authorized payment provider acting as merchant of record. Together with SummarizeMe's Terms of Service, they form the agreement governing your purchase. If anything here conflicts with mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction, those stronger rights apply.
1. Refunds
SummarizeMe does not operate a separate refund policy from the payment provider for transactions completed through checkout. Refund eligibility—including statutory withdrawal periods, discretionary review, and exclusions such as fraud or abuse—is governed by the refund terms presented at checkout and summarized here. You must submit refund requests within the deadlines that apply to your situation. Examples include: EU/EEA, Switzerland, and United Kingdom consumers—withdraw for any reason within 14 calendar days of completing a transaction. If you exercise this right, you receive a full refund of the relevant charges, unless during that 14-day period you started downloading, streaming, using, or benefiting from the product when, during your transaction, you agreed for immediate access before the end of that 14-day period; Turkey and Israel—14 calendar days where that applies; Brazil, Canada, China, South Korea—7 calendar days where that applies; Singapore—5 calendar days where that applies; discretionary refund requests may be considered when submitted within 14 calendar days of the transaction date. Other regions follow applicable local law. Approved refunds are processed within the timeframe stated in the checkout terms.
2. Subscription cancellation
You may cancel recurring billing through the billing portal linked from your receipt or account email. Cancellation generally stops future charges at the end of your current billing period unless mandatory law states otherwise. You may also adjust Service access in your SummarizeMe app settings where available. Upon the end of a paid period without renewal, paid features end in line with how the Product is delivered.
3. Licensing and account integrity
Your license is tied to your identity as verified at signup (including Clerk where we use it). Unauthorized distribution of access, license keys, or attempts to circumvent payment or identity verification may result in suspension or termination of access; any payment consequences follow the checkout terms and mandatory consumer law.
The software is supplied digitally. Compatibility and minimum requirements are described in our Product materials; verifying they meet your environment before purchase is advisable.
